Join us in Dutch Art & Food Sunday 2016!
Baan Hollanda is pleased to announce that we are organising our special event : Dutch Art & Food Sunday 2016 at Baan Hollanda, Ayutthaya
Come and taste the famous Dutch Stroopwafel (Syrup waffle) from a local Dutch shop in Ayutthaya who will make fresh waffle for you. Our cafe will also serve many Dutch snack including Kroket, Bitterballen, Frikandel and Frietje. We will also have a art workshop where you can paint a watercolour journal with our creative volunteer or paint your very own canvas bag.
In the afternoon we will also have a small accoustic performance live at our cafe! There is no admission fee, only for visitors who would like to visit our permanent exhibition which there will be 50 Baht entry ticket.

Our thanks to devoting volunteers
You may learn about our event a couple of weeks ago where we had an opening ceremony for the photo exhibition " Ancient Ayutthaya Heritage through the Lens" by Assistant Professor Nirandorn Tongaroon. Behind the success of the event are our hard working volunteers who kindly contribute their time and skills, making the day went well and successful.

In this occasion, we would like to thank to our devoting volunteers. The first team of event volunteer consist of:
Khun Pat Yodmanee (Pat) , khun Prapatsorn Krangkratog (Ploy), khun Natthida Vanitchayalai (Nan), khun Sorravit Sobprasong (Win). Their strong and positive hospitality and enthusiastic energy are truly appreciated and we would like to thank them for heping us from start of the day in preparation, space planning, designing and other arrangement throughout our big day.
The second contributor is our long time friend and volunteer: khun Manita Sooksomsut (Fon) who has kindly join our event and help us with her architectural and language skills working as Translator for our honoured chairperson of the event, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Thailand, during the special lecture session. Baan Hollanda wishes to extend our appreciation to Khun Fon for taking the time from her busy work and take part in our special day.

Photo Exhibition is officially opened
'Ancient Ayutthaya Heritage Through the Lens'
On Saturday 23rd January 2016, Baan Hollanda organised the official opening ceremony for our first Photo exhibition "Ancient Ayutthaya Heritage Through the Lens", an exhibition by Assistant Professor Nirandorn Tongaroon. The lively event was presided over by H.E. Karel Hartogh, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Thailand and many distinguished guests, visitors who interested in the photo exhibition.
The photos delivered many interesting landscapes of temples and historical sites of the province.

After the Ambassador delivered the opening speech, Prof. Nirandorn has shown our honoured guests through his exhibition which are displayed outside our centre, by the beautiful Chao Phraya River.

The event wouldn't have been successful without support from our friends and volunteers which we would like to thank for their hard work and contribution. And of course, we also would like to thank Professor Nirandorn for his work and photos that allow people to be inspired and learn about history and lanscape of Ayutthaya as well as historical tourism. Photo Exhibition at Baan Hollanda
Baan Hollanda is pleased to invite you to visit our very first photo exhibition "Ancient Ayutthaya Heritage Through the Lens" by Assistant Professor Nirandorn Tongaroon from Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University.
Professor Nirandorn has done various research on architecuture and local tourism of Ayutthaya during the past ten years. During which he has collected countless images of temples, hidden historical sites and landscapes as well as those more familiar ones. At this exhibition he has selected some of his favourites and display at Baan Hollanda to promote historcal tourism as well as relations between Thailand and the Netherlands, which also began in Ayutthaya.
The exhibition will run for around two months from 19th December 2015 - 14th February 2016 at Baan Hollanda, Ayutthaya. We also would like to invite you to join our special activity next month:
Exhibition talk by Professor Nirandorn and Opening ceremony: Saturday 23rd January 2016, from 13.30 hrs. onward
Talk event topic: "Ayutthaya hidden heritage, architecture and tourism" by Professor Nirandorn Tongaroon
At the talk, Professor Nirandorn will discuss his journey behind his research work during the past ten years, his inspirations and stories of each photo as well as his suggestion on local historical tourism development which has been the main theme of his research. The talk will be in Thai with English translation.
