School and student visits

Baan Hollanda is a great place for students to learn about history in Ayutthaya. From primary school to university students, the history about the Dutch settlement can be explored on different levels and depth. Students can learn the general knowledge about Ayutthaya and what the city was like when it was the capital. In addition, the content can be explored more deeply into the economy, international relations, trade, diplomacy, politic and geography during the time of the early Dutch-Thai relaions in the 17th century.

The permanent exhibition is about 20-40 minutes long, depending on the time you'll spend on the displayed content. Our exhibition text is showned in both Thai and English. We can also provide you with an exhibition tour for your student groups in both languages. Therefore, students from international schools or bilingual curriculum are most welcomed to visit us. Please let us know your plan when making your booking with us.

The exhibition area can house up to 30 students at a time. For your convenience, we kindly advice you to divide students into smaller groups if you are coming with a large number of students.

Baan Hollanda is located by the Choa Praya river, making it possible for you to access our centre by boat. This creates another option for your trip to Ayutthaya by coming to see us after a boat trip around the city island and study the local scenery along the way. We are only 10 minutes from the south of the island.

Corporate and organisational visits

Baan Hollanda has welcomed several companies and organisations in many occasions. Learning about the past helps us develop new ideas to create new innovations. Story about the Dutch trade in the 17th century involves the invention of stocks in business world, maritime technology, internatinal relaions, foreign settlements and goods that being exchanged in the Asia. These are all part of the world history that contributed to what we are today. Visiting our exhibition is therefore another way to open new horizons and inspirations to any member of your organisation.
